Retired Sergeant

Law enforcement veteran and LPCC providing counseling built around the realities, stress, and culture of responders.

I understand the hidden costs of the uniform because I paid them too:

  • Mandatory OT that hijacks your days off.
  • Missed holidays, vacations, birthdays, and anniversaries.
  • Being hypervigilant everywhere you go.
  • Answering the phone and shifting into work mode at all hours.

Why I Serve First Responders

After decades in law enforcement, I transitioned into counseling to support the people I once stood beside. As an LPCC, I combine practical street experience with proven therapeutic approaches, focused specifically on police, fire, EMS, and dispatch professionals.

My own experience

Survival, Recovery, and Resiliency

In 2007, the risks of the job hit home in a split second. While working a traffic accident scene on Jamboree Road, I was struck by a vehicle. I survived a near-fatal line-of-duty incident, a grueling recovery process, and the invisible aftermath that follows a catastrophic event. I don’t just understand trauma from a textbook; I know what it feels like to fight my way back from it.
